Here is a sampling of what we will accomplish:
1. Added to our 72 hour kits for our pets: food, medications, and toys.
2. Added cleaning supplies for use after a natural disaster or during a pandemic: mop, broom, rags and a bucket.
3. To our 72 hour kits we have added: masks, a pre-paid phone card, comb and brush, travel games, $10 in cash, a family uniform, a disc with our computer back up, and bottle, bib, toy, spoon and pacifier for the little ones.
4. Three month supply of food: 5 pounds flour, 5 pound pasta or rice, pancake syrup, 1 can fruit/person, 3 cans vegetables/person, 1 juice/person, 1 protein/person, milk, cheese, flavored gelatins and desserts.
5. Auto kit: Fire extinguisher, shoes in car, wool blanket.
6. Grab and Go Kit: port-a-potty, rags, bucket, bleach, ax, cooking pot, tarp, clothes pins, cooking utensils, and hammer.
7. Practiced using splints and slings
8. Sent information and important documents to our contact.
9. Learned to release the garage door in case on a power outage.
10. Tried at least 2 new recipes from stored food.
11. Gotten our credit report.
12. Counted and cleaned sleeping bags.
13. Cleared a 10 foot space around our home and barbecue.
14. Moved heavy items to bottom shelves.
15. Moved flammables and pesticides to a safe place.
16. Created a floor plan and escape routes in case of a fire.
17. Practiced building a shelter.
18. Purchased 2 Christmas gifts.
19. Practiced building a fire.
20. Purchased white sheets to disinfect during a pandemic.
21. Purchased white towels to disinfect during a pandemic.
22. Learned and practiced a new skill.
23.Practiced loading a car to evacuate.
24. Made a Dutch oven dinner.
25. Purchased a fire extinguisher for the house.
26. Updated our food storage inventory.
27.Created more space to store food.
28. Added the safe home post to our binders
29. Changed two things around the house to make it more burglar proof
THAT is just a small amount. It's amazing!!
